CHARLES BUSCH ORIGINAL PASTEL SKETCH -LTD. EDITION GICLE PRINT
A giclee of a pastel drawing by Charles Busch (actor/playwright- Die Mommie Die, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife) of a limited edition of 25. Titled "The Girl With Something Special." 12" x 24" with a one inch border. Individually signed and numbered by the artist.

The original drawing was commissioned in 2014 by Turner Classic Movies as part of their 20th anniversary celebration. It is inspired by the musicals of the early thirties; the kaleidoscopic fantasies often choreographed by Busby Berkeley. Charles Busch: "I've always been intrigued by the seemingly endless parade of anonymous, identically coiffed chorus girls. Who were they? What were there lives like? How long did they stay "in the business?" I've read interviews with a few of them where they discussed the painful, contorted positions they sometimes had to endure.  Then, of course, there the fortunate few like Betty Grable and Lucille Ball, who went on to have extraordinary careers. It is fascinating to locate the one adorable and very ambitious kitten who stands out in the litter".
